Ball Screw Selection Guide

RBC Linear Precision Products offers designers a wide range of precision ball bearing screws in six unique series. Each series offers distinct design advantages so that the entire range of precision ball bearing screws addresses a wide range of application requirements.

Standard Products

Series GN
The GN series offers a large number of diameter, lead and nut package combinations. Non-preload, integral preload and a variety of double nut preload packages are all standard. The GN products offer an integral mounting flange for precision and convenience.

Series GV
The GV series was designed to offer even greater flexibility when considering mounting options. Each GV nut is precision machined with "V" threads allowing for almost unlimited mounting possibilities. An optional flange is available or you can design one of your own. GV models are available in either non-preload or integral preload versions.

Series P and M
The P and M series miniature ball screws have been designed for those applications where an extremely fine pitch lead and smaller than standard screws are required. The P series models offer the same precision lead accuracy as our other models while the M series offers a less expensive alternative. Both the P and M series are available in non-preloaded single nut or double nut preloaded housings.

Special Order Products

Series MM
When a metric lead is required, order one of our MM series precision ball bearing screws. Designed with metric leads, the MM series is available in single nut non-preload, integral preload or double nut preload configurations, all with integral flanges.

Series RB
The RB series offers the designer an effective way to move loads at very high speeds. The RB series has been designed with multiple start, large lead screws. The RB series is available in non-preload and integral preload models. RB nuts are precision machined with "V" threads for optimal mounting flexibility. Optional flanges are available.
