About RBC Specline, Inc.
Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Carson City, Nevada, Specline has a broad and diverse aerospace customer base. The business produces standard and custom configuration precision spherical bearings, rod ends and journal bearings.
Specline’s primary products are plain bearings, including; spherical bearings (lined & metal-to-metal), journals, rod ends and specialty bearings, both swaged and load slot configurations. The principle business focus has traditionally been on short run specials. Emerging requirements with quick delivery of small volume requirements is Specline’s niche. Excellent at quick quote turn-arounds (AOG support).
Specline actively promotes the JV series which is made from environmentally safe copper-nickel-tin materials. A core competency is in the production of split ball spherical and rod ends made from beryllium copper, or the aforementioned copper-nickel-tin materials. There are 2 self-lubricating liner systems available; a shock strut liner and a standard AS81820 liner (Speclon II), in addition to an extensive metal-to-metal offering.
The breadth of applications serviced includes; commercial & military airframe and landing gear, in addition to space. Specline is approved to the following Boeing Standards: BACB10, BACB28, 60B, 10-60779, Defense -4D in addition to the M81935 & M81936 series. Specline has over 6,000 approvals.
The factory has a newer plate shop with cadmium and zinc nickel capabilities, the plating shop has been operating for roughly 1 year. They also have in-house passivation and are working to bring dry film in-house.
